Recently, HAAN Projects completed a project where the engineering used the "point cloud" method. This project involved the design and realisation of a weighing section for raw materials. For this, a new plant with storage bunkers, weighing installation and dosing equipment was designed, built and commissioned.
Often, "as built" drawings of current buildings and installations are no longer up to date, so they are not a good basis for starting the design. In addition, surveying the existing situation on site is often quite complex. Machinery, piping and tanks fill the space and are difficult to map. However, it is extremely important to measure the site properly, as this forms the basis for the design process of the new installation to be built.
