As a technical service provider, maintenance partner and machine builder, HAAN Industrial Group has a diverse offering for young technicians to get a taste of the technical profession and develop in it. Together with PML, forces are combined to promote the engineering profession and guide young people into the job market. "Trainees at HAAN are given the opportunity from day one to work and learn in our workshop as well as at HAAN 's customers," says Mireille Borger, HR business partner at HAAN. "Because our projects are so diverse, they get a whiff of all facets within maintenance engineering, something that makes us unique, according to feedback from our current interns."

PML is the business platform of, for and by 50 renowned process engineering and maintenance companies in Limburg, working in the chemical, food, plastics and manufacturing industries. They work closely together with all VMBO, HAVO and MBO schools in Limburg to ensure a continuous intake of young, technically qualified talent in the training courses and professions of operators, (mechatronics) maintenance technicians and laboratory technicians. For instance, PML organises information evenings for parents and students, job shadowing days and guest lectures by professionals and takes an active role in guiding young talent towards their first work placement and job.
