Last weekend, over 41,000 volunteers in the Netherlands cleaned up litter as part of World Cleanup Day. And it was not only in the Netherlands that people went to work. Last Saturday, volunteers in more than 180 countries rolled up their sleeves in the fight against litter.
With the havoc caused by the floods in Limburg still in the back of our minds, the forces were joined and employees, family members and others involved from the companies Perfact, HAAN Industrial Group and ProfCore went out into nature last Saturday to collect (plastic) waste to contribute to a cleaner world.
The common thread in the cooperation between the three companies is investment in the next generation. Whereas before we worked together focusing on the knowledge of the future, now we joined forces in the field of sustainability. With our joint participation in World Cleanup Day, we want to set a good example and commit to nature.
During the clean-up operation of some 3 hours at the Landtongue in Wessem, over 50 bags full of (plastic) waste, as well as other large pieces of rubbish, were collected. And thus, thanks to the efforts of many, this piece of nature was left a little nicer again. Afterwards, the day ended with a nice drink and snack!
We thank all volunteers for their commitment and contribution, and through this way we invite everyone to reserve Saturday 17 September 2022 in their diaries, because we will be there again!
Because only with everyone's commitment can the next generation continue to make a difference!
